I question, therefore I am?

Since I was a child, ever since my earliest memories that have stayed with me until today, HOW? and WHY? would always pop into my head whenever I heard or saw something. Why do I have two arms? Why do nails grow? How does an image get to my television? How can someone who’s miles away speak through this device? Why are some songs pleasant to listen to and others not? Why does he like the song I don’t? Why did he say that, in that way? Why did that dog behave like that? Why do I like to draw? Why do I lose track of time when I do it? Why am I drawn to the image of the samurai that was presented to me? Why do I paint samurais, shugyōshas, ashigarus? Why does the idea of going a day without painting bother me? Why am I the way I am?

This is a bit of how I operate, what goes on in my mind. It’s worth saying that I don’t just question everything — I also seek information, I absorb knowledge to try and answer my questions. I’ve read many books, watched many documentaries, read articles and studies, and I’m still like this today. Well, I just felt like sharing a bit of how my mind works. The question remains: am I the only one who works like this? 🤔
