I once waited for someone to save me. I begged the heavens for help, to be rescued. Until one day, alone, while lamenting the life I had, a thought came to me: “Enough. How long are you going to stay like this?” I believe it was myself speaking to me. I think I got tired of hearing my own complaints. That was my breaking point.
From that day on, I focused on myself—on what I could do. I focused on gaining knowledge. I started reading and applying what I learned, day after day. And here I am today. I know my journey is still long—I’m still young, I’ve only lived a third of my life—but now, I wake up every day and give thanks for the life I have. 🙏
In the end, the one who saved me was me.
